A Little Lullaby

This poem is for a father or mother to say to a child, as it is from their perspective.

Lay down your head and go to sleep
For all your worries I shall keep
Away, away for ever more
All your thoughts of death or war
So then lie down in endless bliss
And I shall give you a good nights kiss
And if you dream of fairy land
Or a silly pirate band
Know you will always be
Safe in the heart of mommy and me

You could use “daddy and me” as it has the same rhyme and syllables.
And once again please give any feed back. 🙂
